Updated April 2026A snapshot of what I’m working on, reading, and experimenting with — refreshed every 4–6 weeks. Inspired by Derek Sivers’ /now page convention ↗.
Most pages on this site are designed for visitors. This one’s a working log — kept honest, updated regularly, and useful mostly to me.
What I’m working on
Active projects this month — roughly ordered by how much of my week each one consumes.
BetterBugs Q3 architecture review
EngagementMid-engagement system review and the build plan for the next 90 days. Focusing on AI-citation depth, programmatic-page layer expansion, and the next 30 utility assets.
AI-citation tracking tool (v0.5)
BuildA new tool for the tools library — monitor when your brand or domain gets cited in ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini responses across tracked queries. Working through query-sampling architecture this week.
Long-form essay series: AI-search infrastructure
WritingA 6-part series on how SaaS distribution will be shaped by AI retrieval. Two published, four in progress. Pacing one essay every 10–14 days.
Site v2 refinement
PersonalIterating on this site — sidebar refinement, dark-mode polish, and adding the Case Studies layer. You’re looking at it.
What I’m reading
Currently in rotation — books, papers, essays. Not exhaustive, just what’s actually open right now.
Co-Intelligence
Re-reading for the second time. Holds up surprisingly well 18 months in.
Right Kind of Wrong
For the experimentation framework. Reshaping how I think about utility-led prototyping.
Retrieval-Augmented Generation for Knowledge-Intensive NLP Tasks
Foundational reference for how AI-citation surfaces actually retrieve. Worth the time.
Lenny’s Newsletter
Mostly for the operator interviews — skimming the SaaS posts, reading the ops ones.
Experiments running
Small bets I’m running this quarter to test specific hypotheses. Most won’t ship publicly — that’s the point.
Citation-rate decay on month-old content
Measuring how quickly AI-citation surface degrades on content older than 90 days, and whether minor refreshes restore it.
Entity-graph density vs. ranking velocity
Testing whether pre-loading topical clusters with dense entity coverage accelerates initial ranking compared to standard publishing.
Programmatic utility variants — fan-out economics
Quantifying the marginal cost vs. marginal traffic gain on each programmatic variant past the 50-page mark.
Founder distribution loop — writing cadence vs. inbound
Tracking how this site’s publishing rhythm correlates with inbound enquiries. Sample-size still small, but trend is visible.
Recently shipped
The last 4–6 things that went live. Anything older is on the about page timeline.
Quarter focus right now is depth over breadth — fewer experiments, longer essays, deeper architecture work. The temptation to publish more is constant; the discipline to publish less but better is the harder skill. Asking myself once a week: is this work compounding, or am I just performing motion? If you have something worth talking about that fits that filter, my inbox is open.
